Study Abroad!!

So, before I hadn't decided where I wanted to study abroad and I was really torn as to where I want to spend a semester of my life!! First, I wanted to do Sydney, Australia. In all reality, I can't afford to go somewhere that's that expensive to live in! So Sydney was out. Then I thought that maybe London would be good!! They speak English, I could handle that. I'd like to know the language. But that's really expensive too... hmmmm. Limerick, Ireland was my next option. Limerick would be great! But again, dang it! They're on the Euro. I got really disappointed for a while there. It's disheartening realizing that I can't afford any of this! Well. I've FINALLY MADE A DECISION!! I'm going to Prague, Czech Republic for a semester in Fall 2010!! Tomorrow I'm talking to my dad and working out the finer details of the money issue, what I need to earn by the time I go, if I'll need to take out a loan (this is basically a yes =/ ). Anyway, I'm happy to finally have made a decision. I'm nervous about the language barrier, but I'm sure that I'll work through it! I'll keep everyone posted on the progress of me getting to study abroad!

    Hi Lindsay - Prague is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe according to our well traveled friends. Learning the language will be a bit of a challenge though we are sure you can manage it. Rosetta Stone here you come! It should be a wonderful experience. Love Grandpa Dave and GrandMo

    That's funny, I actually already thought about picking up a Rosetta Stone before I go!! The first 2 weeks I'm there, I'll be in an intensive Czech language course so that will give me the basics but I'd like to have a general understand before I go too though!! I heard Prague is very beautiful from a lot of people too!! Thanks for the info =]
